The exclusive Crown Pro-PM turning tools are considered an elitist range in the woodturning world. These are made from Powder Metal, in which the molten steel has been compressed and sintered giving the Pro-PM turning tools a cutting edge which lasts up to 4-5 times longer than that of a conventional High Speed Steel tool. The chisels are hardened to between 66° and 68° Rockwell meaning the tools have a vastly superior wear resistance, excellent grind-ability and superior toughness.
