This NEW Lynx Quadrant Scraper Set is the perfect solution for scraping various quadrant areas and has the benefit of the straight edge to get into corners, which sanding cannot always do.

This two piece set has the following quadrant sizes cut from the scraper:

Scraper 1 - 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16"
Scraper 2 - 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 5/8"

These are pefect for using on sash window restoration, mouldings, smoothing pre-painted surfaces, removal of paint etc. Also good for taking corners of square edges if needed.

Can be re-sharpened by using a burnisher if needed.

Its orgins are inspired by the river Sheaf which runs beside the Sorby factory and has been one of the main driving forces behind the steel industry for more than four centuries in Sheffield.

The Robert Sorby Sheaf River Bevelled Edge Butt Chisels combine the elasticity and hard wearing properties of sustainably sourced American Ash with the finest Sheffield steel and hand craftsmanship. These chisels are drop stamped from high carbon material blanks to produce a blade with an edge capable of being sharpened to half a micron - four times sharper than a disposable razor!

All these chisels are handmade by craftsmen using over 200 years of knowledge in tool production. A high level of quality control ensures each blade is diamond hardness tested before leaving the factory.

There are two types of the Bevelled Edge Butt Chisels available:

The traditional bolster and ferrule version and the Tapered bolster and ferrule version.

This version is the Tapered Bolsgter and ferrule version

The Pax 1776 Saw, Thomas Flinn’s finest saw and a must have for all woodworking enthusiasts. This is our flagship saw - NOW WITH AN ADDED DIFFERENCE! Made with a heavily folded brass back roll marked with "Pax 1776 Sheffield England", it is made as a celebration piece commemorating the start of Pax saws and are made today to the same high standards they were two hundred years ago. The folded brass back means the blade is held under tension offering excellent rigidity and balance. The weight of the brass back aids the fine cutting ability of this saw. The traditional open handle is made from English Elm and is hand finished with Danish Oil to offer the perfect comfort and grip. This saw is the ultimate in beauty and also in it’s unrivalled performance. These saws are all tested before despatch.

This is now available as a variable pitch version (10") with the teeth on the blade starting at 20tpi and gradually getting larger up to around 10tpi at the end of the blade. This type of saw allows easy starting of cuts and faster cuts due to the coarser teeth towards the end of the blade.

Robert Sorby Sovereign Ultima Hollowing System

The Sovereign Ultima is a new hollowing system from Robert Sorby. It forms part of the Sovereign System but is also a stand-alone tool in its own right. It is designed to enable the woodturner to produce hollow vessels up to 16" (400 mm) in depth. There are two models: a small version for projects up to 11" (275 mm) and a medium version for up to 16" (400 mm). For those turners who already have the Sovereign handle both versions are also supplied without handle.
The Sovereign Ultima features:

New! Ray Iles "Mike Abbott" Drawknife

A traditional green woodworking tool, the drawknife is used for the removal of bark or for more fine finishing also. Used by bodgers, chair makers, furniture makers etc. This Ray Iles version has been designed by Mike Abbott to help adapt this traditional tool slightly. The difference being that the splayed handles are also bent slightly downwards so that you are working with your hands at approximately the same angle as your work piece, whichever way you are using the drawknife - back down or cannel down.

This is made from 01 high carbon tool steel and has turned beech handles with brass ferrules. Blade length: 8"

Ray Iles has a great range of froes for helping with your green woodworking. Used to split logs, shingles, shakes etc the froe has a cutting edge on the blade that when hit with a mallet, splits the wood. The froe is then twisted slightly to split the rest of the wood down the log making a quick and effective way to split your wood.

This large froe has a blade length of 10 1/2" and is made from EN9 spring steel. It has a handle length of 14". The handle is made from beech and is finished with an oil coating. The tapered eye allows for easy removal of the handle.

Item is made in Lincolnshire.
