New from Robert Sorby for 2012! The Sheaf River woodworking tools is a range of specialist tools for the discerning woodworker. Its orgins are inspired by the river Sheaf which runs beside the Sorby factory and has been one of the main driving forces behind the steel industry for more than four centuries in Sheffield.

The Robert Sorby Sheaf River Bevelled Edge Chisels combine the elasticity and hard wearing properties of sustainably sourced American Ash with the finest Sheffield steel and hand craftsmanship. These chisels are drop stamped from high carbon material blanks to produce a blade with an edge capable of being sharpened to half a micron - four times sharper than a disposable razor!

All these chisels are handmade by craftsmen using over 200 years of knowledge in tool production. A high level of quality control ensures each blade is diamond hardness tested before leaving the factory.

There are two types of the Bevelled Edge Chisels available:

The traditional bolster and ferrule version and the Tapered bolster and ferrule version.

This option is the Tapered Bolster and Ferrule version.

Sizes are as follows:
1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1"

Use the drop down box to show sizes and prices.

Available as individual chisels or as a set of 5.

Set of 5 includes: 1/4", 3/8", 3/4" and 1"

*** These chisels scored a tidy 4 out of 5 stars for these in Good Woodworking magazine, issue 262 January 2013. ***
