During 2020, we experienced a situation we have never faced before. A global pandemic affecting people's health. We were told to stay at home to protect our familes, friends and of course, our very important National Health Service (NHS), without which we would be lost and something we must protect.
At the end of February 2020, before our first national lockdown, we made the decision to lockdown our factory to anyone but staff so we could protect ourselves and our staff and create our "work bubble". Like many families, we have very vulnerable family members, and these are our priority. We have even ended up with months of work and household bubbles living together to ensure we could continue our business and keep these family members even safer but also meaning you get your beautiful hand tools too.
The pandemic has seen a huge growth in sales and our online sales grew rapidly in a very small time scale. This was an effect then felt across the globe, with all our distributors feeling these same effects in a rapid way as everyone took to hobbies and online shopping.
What does this mean? It means at times there can be a wait for items made by our craftsmen. We are working as quickly as we can and at times, we have delays in our supply chains. We have to work as safely as we can, staff at times have had to isolate with family if there's any Covid-19 issues. This is happening across all suppliers too.
We do not operate a stock system as many of our items are made to order. For many items, we assemble when we know what items you require so we can offer you the widest range of products available.
We will always endeavour to turn goods round as quickly as possible, but at times, we do require some patience as we are working as quickly as our little hands will go :-)
If you have any questions, please do drop us an email and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
